Sisters with Transistors featuring Nadia Botello

 The Listener's Gallery Inaugural Salon Friday April 30, 2021 at 8pm -10pm
Mercury Project Contemporary Art Space, 538 Roosevelt Ave, San Antonio, TX 78210
(outdoor patio weather permitting)

Our first event will be a screening of Sisters with Transistors, a feature documentary about electronic music’s unsung heroines narrated by Laurie Anderson and directed by Lisa Rovner. The film will be introduced by Nadia Botello. Botello was the main consultant for the film, and helped choose the women to feature including Maryanne Amacher, Laurie Anderson, and one of my favorite composers Pauline Oliveros, a Texas native. Nadia Botello is also featured in the film.

The NY Times just covered the film: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/arts/music/sisters-with-transistors-women-synths.html
