The Teletextile Ritual Arts Ensemble presents Teletextile: Connected, a new music-centered performance piece inspired by Reiki and Sound Meditation with hints of ASMR. This non-narrative immersive work looks into crosscurrent energies of mind and body: a mind that walks, and a body that sings. Martinez utilizes rituals of celebration, contemplation and death to examine how we connect to each other and life itself. The audience is asked to participate in the rituals of the performance, such as a walking meditation and a sound bath. In this work Martinez intends to hold space for connection to our higher power and inner voice by utilizing sonic meditations, singing, chanting and deep listening to create an environment of healing and expression. The audience is invited and encouraged to participate in the rituals of the performance, but participation is not mandatory and the performance may be enjoyed passively. This is an interactive performance of a meditative nature, we suggest wearing comfortable clothes and easily removable shoes. Saturday’s performance performance will be video documented with a small stationary camera, by purchasing a ticket for the performance you and any other guest you bring are consenting to being recorded for promotional uses.

Performances will take place September 20 - 22, 2019 (Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 5:00 pm) at Jump-Start Theater, 710 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78201.
